I have a range of experience working with many different issues. Below are some examples of the kinds of issues I commonly work with; however, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your individual needs.

Anxiety is a natural response to feeling pressured or threatened, and it exists to help keep us safe. However, sometimes it shows up in situations where it's not needed, or it can feel like it's showing up all the time for no reason at all. We can feel anxious in our thoughts, and also in our bodies, and the two often work together in a way that doesn't feel good. Psychological therapy can help us to understand our anxiety, why it's there and what keeps it going. Once we understand it, we can work on ways to help it not interfere so much with life.

Low mood or feeling depressed are normal responses to many of life's experiences, but they can take over and keep us stuck in a way that stops us from experiencing anything else. We might feel sad, or low, or numb, and find it hard to shake those feelings. It might affect our energy levels too, where it's hard to do our normal day-to-day activities or find pleasure in anything. Support when we're feeling stuck like this is really important, and can help us to cope and to change things for the better.

Many life transitions are difficult to cope with, and are often a a trigger for distress and mental health struggles. Changes in our lives often bring unpredictability, which can be difficult to cope with, alongside feelings of loss. These changes may be anything at all, from moving home or leaving school, becoming a parent, the loss of a loved one, or adapting to a change in health. Psychological therapy can give you a space to process these changes, and support that enables you to cope.

As humans, we are wired for connection. Relationships can be a great source of comfort and joy, but they can also cause frustration and pain. Psychological therapy can help us work through any relationship patters that might keep us feeling stuck, giving us the tools to change.
